Join Rose City Fashion Week, Oregon’s newest fashion show and local nonprofit, for an educational panel about Modeling, Self-confidence, and most importantly Safety! This panel is run by both a model and photographer to discuss both sides of the camera as well as Q&A with designers for additional questions and perspective.

Join Rose City Fashion Week’s favorite local Bridal and athletic wear Designer and talk all about FABRIC! Examples of more than 40 different kinds of fabric, how to tell them apart, how to stitch them together, and which ones to use for your next sewing project! Also learn about RCFW and what we are doing to support Queer Artists, Creatives of Color, Makers with disabilities, and other Marginalized Magical Beings in the PNW!

A panel for beginners and pros alike, TabiKat’s makeup team will breakdown the basics and offer a few advanced techniques as we explain the differences between cake and creme styles and brands. Learn how to get the most out of each type of makeup and fine tune your application for stunning results.

Advance makeup techniques: learn to apply crepe hair for realistic effects. Watch Ty Grass create realistic shadowing for painted facial hair and see how he does quick changes to his makeup between drag sets. We will also touch on horror effects with different brands of fake blood as well as looking at liquid latex and non latex options for effects.

Intersection of Drag and Trans communities

There is a lot of misunderstanding both inside the two groups and outside in the community at large. Our panel consists of both cis and trans drag performers. We will break down the commonalities and talk about how TabiKat has worked to build an inclusive drag scene over the past 28 years.

Iron Cosplay: Clash of the Thrifty Crafters

Think you have what it takes to make a cosplay in less than 10 minutes?! Using only Dollar store supplies, participants will join forces in teams and race to create a cosplay and strut down the runway. The clock will be ticking and audiences will cheer you on as you use the secret item to finish off your looks! Winners will be selected by the audience, and, YES, there will be prizes for winning teams!

Kumoricon is a nonprofit anime convention on November 17 – 19, celebrating twenty years of anime and Japanese culture, and back for its biggest year yet! Gaining its namesake (kumori) from the Japanese word “”cloudy””, we embody everything it means to live in the Pacific Northwest and love this fandom. Stretching across generations, anime fans have gathered together for an amazing annual event, rain or shine. We’d be excited to see you in Portland, Oregon, we are excited to bring you another wonderful anime convention designed and operated with the fans and their devotion in mind.
